Brain in Jar Halloween decoration

I found this Halloween Decoration video from last years Halloween made by the crazy guys at Revision3 -the online TV show for Geeks.

They show you how to make an illuminated floating brain in a jar which is ok, but later on they show some of the creations from www.gotarobot.com

You can jump to about 17:00min to see the final brain in jar result and to 10:45 to see how they cut up the fake brain (spoiler… sorry)

More interesting, but a bit more difficult to make yourself is the giant Robotic Spider.
Skip forward to 19minutes into the movie to see how it works with pulleys and motors, impressively simplistic.

They also show you gotarobots Mummy – but don’t show the nitty gritty mechanics behind it unfortunately.

Halloween Costume Trick Photography ideas

I’ve always been a fan of illusions and trick photography since I’ve been a kid and will be showing some really good trick photography examples that you can use over Halloween or any special event to create great memories with your Toddlers, Teens or even the Big Kids…

Trick Photography Ideas

To Create trick photos or Video’s all you need to do is think outside of the box and let your imagination go. For Inspiration here’s some video examples of trick photography and also an eBook with great examples and how to’s

Recently in the UK percil (a local washing detergent) showed an ad which uses Trick photography and something called “forced perspective” which really creates awesome illusions of size.

The basic idea is that objects that are closer to you are larger than those further away, and by forcing a certain perspective by placing your camera near the ground for instance, a near perfect illusion is created.

I was thinking that this year instead of just taking normal photo’s of friends in Halloween Costumes, to rather try some of the Trick photography ideas.
